Default Tail

I am doing ring craft classes with Roxy at the moment, I don't know yet if I will show her, it depends, but anyhow even if I won't show her, ring craft classes are good for her socializing. So she is doing ok, but I can't figure out how to bring her tail up more often!?! She stands very nicely, but as soon as say "stand" (bait) her tail goes down. I have tried talking to her, cheering her up, bringing all kind of toys, different treats, even singing LOL but her tail stays down And the same with walking I think she doesn't like the floor in that building, it's like very cold concrete, last week they had some carpet and her tail was up a little bit

When we go for a walk her tail is up most of the time, especially when she is on the grass Oh and when a stranger starts talking to her she is wagging her tail like crazy LOL

Are there any tricks how to teach her nice "bait" with her tail up?

Thank you!!!

Good luck with ring craft

When you are standing her aiga if her tail drops mover her around abit if her tail comes up give her the bait and say nice stand in a really high pitched excited voice thats what i do at home
Also does she like certain toys like squeeky toys are great too
Some dogs are food orientated but i know roxy is from meeting her lol!!

Also you know the summer shows are coming up if she walks better outside this may benifit her cause she will get the hang of it by the time the indoor shows come up later in the year again

Are you going to the Toy dog Ireland show????

yep i find talking in an excited voice and rustling the treat bag (i always put bait in a small plastic food bag that a bit of noise) gets B's tail up and his attention and i move him if his tail drops

Thank you I really appreciate your help I am going to try a really "rustly" bag with her tonight (that's why almost every one at Crufts had a bag from crisps in the ring, and I was thinking they give crisps to dogs LOL )
