The standard call for them to be 2 to 6 pounds with 4 to 6 preferred but there are a few dog who are over the preferred weight in the ring. I think it only counts as a fault and not a disqualification.
As we don't actually weigh dogs in the UK we never know how many would actually be within breed standard. I am sure in the US the judge can call for scales if they suspect a dog being over the weight. Again in the UK an oversized dog probably just wouldn't be placed rather than DQ'd whereas overseas they would be DQ'd.
