I've seen and heard of coat enhancing (especially with the Poodles) but I cannot say I've ever seen a nose done.. ha ha
I'm stumped over the satin balls, why was he doing that to the Dobermans? it seems sooo strange.

I guess the dobermans were too thin. So he was force feeding them in order for them to be in good body condition. But the dogs were so conditioned to being force fed that they absolutely wouldn't eat on their own. Very strange.
I knew a lady who put hair extensions (switches) in her poodles. Crazy Crazy Crazy.

They are like a mixture of raw hamburger, eggs, veggie oil, molasses and cereal. The dogs are supposed to look a certain weight and if they aren't eating cuz of being on the road they try to fatten them up this way.

Well... it IS a beauty contest. So if you were the judge and you had two pretty equal dogs in front of you..... one with great black pigment and one without, otherwise pretty equal... you'd probably put up the one with the good pigment. Of course you wouldn't know if it was natural or out of a bottle.

In the horse world, people would use bluing to whiten the white on their horses. It helps get the slight yellow cast out of tails, especially, and back hocks.

So people just figure that if the judge can't tell, they might as well, just because? Can't it rub off on judges hands when they check teeth? I think Bryco's nose is OK because it's very clearly chocolate/pink, not a diluted black (ok, I know chocolate is a dilute of black...but), and he is white, so...it should be OK? Lord, with my luck Bryco would dump the bottle of stuff ALL over him and never, ever be white again. Oh, lol, and he drinks/eats out of ceramics or stainless steel so its not plastic leeching causing pigment fade or anything.

If you go to this site:
http://www.bijoupoodles.com/Grooming.html
About 3/4 of the way down the page it shows hair switches that you weave into the topknot so that the dog has fuller and more hair.
Also, she does have a good video on grinding nails.

Apparently the #1 LC chi last year or in 08' in the US had extensions or something in its hair? I don't know if it was just some crazy breeder angry their dog wasn't top dog, or if it was true.
I just don't want to win that bad?? Worst comes to worst I will just buy a champion to start out, if Bryco doesn't work out, no big deal LOL. I know thats not the "same" but, I don't want to start OUT breeding with non standard dogs, that doesn't make sense, there are lots of those puppies already
Poodles are ridiculous...so much fun and so much work I'd guess LOL. I couldn't handle it I don't think??
