Default Bait...

Wondering what everyone uses for bait...Bryco can't have chicken, so trying to figure out what else people use...

Has anyone used these: http://www.dogvoice.com/cosmosbait.php? They sound "stinky" and attention getting lol. I guess I want a portable option for if I can't cook up some ground turkey for him, which is what I've been doing.

All beef hot dogs work great. You don't have to cook them and they are easy to pinch off tiny bits for baiting. A lot of people use beef liver. Works great but not as tasty if you have to put it in your mouth to adjust something in the ring. lol You can use anything in the world you want to for bait, just as long as Bryco loves it.

My sister shows standard poodles and uses Beef Jerky, or Natural Balance Food Rolls (all cut up) for her girl, her boy was the pickiest thing ever she had to use Grilled Chicken pieces which weren't exactly the easiest thing to use as bait.

Try him on some ziwipeak at home. If he really likes it, it's great as a bait, small and easy to carry.

Also, don't forget that some dogs are not food motivated. I used to bait Piper with a toy. She liked the rabbit fur covered mice you can get at dog shows. She'd go nuts for one. It also kept her happy and interested. She only got to play with it when we were at a show.
