At home Red stacks and walks good, at times he does leans back and huddles up but most the time he is a good lad.
At ringcraft at first he is a stiff bent banana and the last time he leant into me to the point that he lost his balance and toppled over a bit. However he did get better and started standing a bit more positively
Today was a disaster, he would not stack at all and when the judge approached him he arched his back loads, bent like a demented banana and really backed off away from the judge.
The judge was really nice with him but he was having none of it, when doing his walk he leant away, tailed tucked right in, ears down and he just wanted out of the arena.
When I walked him around between classes with Jake his tail was up and curled lovely, he trotted around real proud most the time and didn't seem bothered by all the hussle and bustle of the other dogs etc.
In the ring for his final class at first he was great, attentive, tail curtled up and over his back, ears pricked and then ... suddenly though not as bad as before his tail and ears dropped, he just wanted to hide behind me or try to get up into my arms. He showed better though not great this time for the judge which got him a 3rd place rosette.
What do I do, I thought about taking him to puppy classes for the socialising but I know they will want me to have him learn to sit etc which I don't want. I need to sort out his nervousness, lack of confidence and insecurity.
Any help and advice with be greatly appreciated...
