OK so I just got mine done. I am 25 years old and my Mom hung up on me when I told her I got it done!! I know she may not be happy about it, but I am an adult. How do I fix this with my Mom with out doing things her way? Or shoudl I just let it go and she will come around.
Hehe, my mom's given up on me!! Although I secretly love hearing her Say "Lauurraa" everytime I get a piercing or tattoo!!! When I got my lip pierced(right under my lip) she said she would never kiss me again. She still does. I think she'll come around. Sometimes it's hard for mom's to let go and realize their daughters are not mirror images of themselves. Maybe explain to her that a pierced nose does not make you a bad person, you still have the same values that she instilled in you. Good luck!

I wanted to ask, did it hurt?! I have been trying to figure out what I want to get pierced lately, and I can't decide between my lip and my nose. What's the healing time and aftercafe like for nose piercings? Or lip?

I would just wait for her to come around. I'm a mother & really don't understand being upset about that They're are so many other things my daughter could do to upset me & that isn't on the list
It really didn't hurt, made my eye's tear up, but just a pinch. I have had my tounge pierced for a couple of years now (but it's not something tha can be seen) and that Really hurt. they said anywhere between 6 weeks - 6months for healing. he said I had to spin it to clean it a couple times a day. I just tried and I am like oh yea right spin it my butt!! It will heal and she will be fine. things wil go back to normal.
i had my nose and eyebrow peirced next was my tongue but hubby didn't like the idea. my nose or eyebrow didn't hurt just a pinch. pretty much made my eyes water. i was only 18 and living with my dad when i did it i didn't warn him i just came in with holes in my head. he wasnt' happy but he accepted it. good for you for getting it done ur mom will come around clean with dial soap it's the best for peircings (if u didnt know) sorry it's the mommy in me coming out!

No it didn't hurt, but I do have some advice for you. You have two choices of backings....one is a fishtail and one is a flatback. I first had a fishtail and it kept cutting me. I kept it for a year and scar tissue built up, not to mention it hurt so much I wuold have to take it out for a few hours for some relief. I finally found a flatback and and fits great and doesn't hurt at all. Try the fishtail if that's what they offer you for the recomended time but if you notice it's cutting into your inner lip then get a flatback. Don't wait. It won't get better!! Good luck!!

Dial soap is the exact soap I got!!! it was the only soap that sait Anti-Bacterial and was scentless and color less.
