Default Sunburn/peeling question

I was out in the sun too long yesterday without sunblock and got burned. Does anyone know of any remedy to reduce the peeling that occurs as it begins to heel? My sister and her hubby are renewing their vows next weekend (about the time I'll be peeling) and I'm helping to hostess the event afterwards. I don't want to look like a snake. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Where do you get that? Can it be found in a local drugstore? Thanks a bunch.

I know the Aloe helps with the burning, but does it help reduce peeling? May not be anything for that. Thanks everyone.

If you go to a drugstore or walmart they'll have a bunch of "after sun" lotions. I think the lotions are more mositurizing than plain aloe vera and work best for me. They're also suppose to help your tan last longer. I know theres one by Banana Boat but i think theres a brand called Aloe Vera that makes a better one. It's like an off-white sort of yellowy lotion. It feels soo good on the burn. Good luck!

Edited to add a pic... I have this one now but I used to have a better one. I can't remember the brand but this one works too

I was going to say Aloe Vera also. I just started selling a line of beauty/spa products that has a lotion thats suppose to be really good for sunburns also. Not sure this is good or bad, but I haven't had a chance to be in the sun much lately so I haven't had a chance to give it a first hand experience! If you're interested though pm me & I'll look up the info on it when I get home tonight.

I normally practically bathe in the aloe vera when I get burned!

It always seems like you get burned just before some kind of special event though, doesn't it?!
