I have heard the foot isnt too bad. I will say my ribs was NOT FUN. but... you suffer for what you want and I wanted these LOL.

i have 3 currently, more in planning...moneys the problem here though
my very first tat is a 2" x 3" peice of a fox skull and crossbones, it represents my "alter ego" the pirate in me. shes on my right thigh and was definatly the least "painfull" of all my tats thus far. infact she took about an hour (all hand drawn based on my own drawing) and i fell asleep...

this was my second peice its about 8" x 6" id guess, and a critter thats been apearing in my "dreams" for the best part of my life...this peice was custom drawn for me by the artist, a wonderfull friend of mine, based on what i told him...i purposly got him in "washed" colour, as he represents the "soft" spiratual side of myself, he sits on the left hand side of my very lower back/hip, essentially just above my butt cheek.
this little man is my totem, hes my spiritual guide. I wouldnt say he was "painfull" but some areas especially around the wing tips and tail neer my spin definatly stung a little more than my first, he took 4 hours to complete.


after getting my first fox i decided i wanted a second, this time on my shoulder, a more playfull side of myself and one to watch my back, he was purposly done in a more "cartoon" style than the first to represent my playfull side. he was the most painfull because his wings and legs hit rather ticklish areas for me so those areas stung more, he was a 5 hour peice.


all 3 of my tattoos are drawn by ME they are origional designs. I had the artists destroy the origional line drawing for the stencil...

i have a few more in the plans...
3 will be actual pawprints of all my dogs, one in baby blue for dodger, one in baby pink for vixie and one in soft green for ruby...probably on my wrist...

i also want a tattoo to represent myself and my boyfrined...im thinking a fox and a wolf entwined in a celtic knottwork type design, im not sure where that one will go yet.

i want a celtic moon and star around my belly button, but that ones not untill i loose my weight.

and i want a series of japanese maple leaves tumbling over my shoulder and down my back, that one will be the big "expensive" one because i want 22 of them (23 of them once dec comes) one for each year of my life...

Oooo you're the one with the Starry Night tat on your back?? That's awesome!! I remember seeing pics on Goosemoose I love that painting...

I would love to get a star tattoo but I need it in a discreet place as I want to be an elementary school teacher. I was thinking either my abdomen or the inside of my wrist...but then I'd have to wear a watch or bracelet constantly

Julie, that one on the foot is absolutely beautiful. It's soooo feminine and pretty.

I have a fairy on my hip. Had it done 20 years ago, so it has faded a little now.

I love tatoos, but they are painful, unless techniques have changed somewhat in the last 20 years!
