I had to rush back to my Gp today, with breathing trouble.
Gp said it is NOT related to my chest infection/astma but "diagnosed" me with Dyspnea (sp?) and sent me for an ecg and chest x-ray.

I say "diagnosed" as it seems it is not a condition in itself as such, but caused by another condition.

I go back thursday for the results, but wondered did anyone have any experience or knowledge of this?

I googled it and the results rather shocked me to be honest!

i just googled it too, wow! i hope your doctor wasn't right about this. I never knew there were more harsh things then asthma. good luck on your results!

scarey isnt it, this google, too much knowledge can be a bad thing.

I am trying not to worry though, but AM resting.

My gp Did instruct me under no circumstances to sleep or lay down flat, rest lots and call 999 if I feel unwell at anytime at all, and escorted me out to the surgery waiting room to my husband to make sure I got there ok!!!!!

All making me worry more and more lol.

Still, i'll just bug the life out of the two forums I am on and pass the time that way lol.

you cant sleep?! yea too much reading up on information can be a bad thing. you might think you have something just by the symptoms when you actually dont. I've known people like that before...and you just have to keep telling them "it's not what you think and it'll be okay and STOP reading all that stuff on the internet cause it can be false implications"...lol. what other forum are you in?

I am chewing myself to bits....

I keep thinking over what things the doctor said to me, and the more I think about it the more worried I am getting.

I remember him saying " what I can hear on you chest doesnt fit with your chest infections or asthma"

That is now making me wonder what DID he hear? If nothing surely he would say No your chest sounds fine???

I have rung each day and my test results are not back in yet, and I am getting more and more worried about the results.

Sat here all week, often all by myself, worrying myself silly.

I have chest pains, tightness, short of breath, rapid weak pulse, swelling in hands and ankles, tiredness.

Arrghhhhhhhh I cant beleive they leave you hanging around like this, I have to go all weekend like it now, and am worrying and fed up of it all

getting VERY annoyed with the hospital. Still no results sent to my gp, and I am worrying myself silly.

I have a hospital appointment tomorrow with the endocrinologist. I'll ask my gp tomorrow to chase up the results if not back in. Still having chest pains etc though.

I have concluded I am just slowly falling to bits!!!
