Ok so I've had the same vet for 8/9 years. She's an great Dr. Anywho...It all started Earlier this week.

My Boston Terrier Sweet Pea has a slipped disc in her neck. Ever once and a while she needs meds and cage rest. Only on Sunday she must have done something because her neck got really swollen and she was pretty lethargic. So I gave her some left over rimadyl from last time until we could get an appointment.

Yesterday we go in, and I know I asked an appointment with Stacy(my vet at the clinic) Well we ended up with someone else...boo... She gave her some meds from the donation box(free stuff yay!) Stacy came into the room to say hi and she looked like she was about to cry! (i've cut my hair super short and i didnt have my wig on) Anywho, we had a nice little moment she gave me a great big hug and told me not to ever worry about having to pay for vet care for the pups. to tell my husband(who thinks when a animal gets sick you just take them out back) that I have a friend who is a vet and its all taken care of. How sweet is that! I didnt have to pay a thing yesterday. The other vet put in the charges and at the checkout Stacy came up behind the receptionist and said why dont you zero all that out. I love my vet!!! oh and THEN...

We're back out the parking lot and I tell my grandma to stop wait I forgot freakin HW and flea stuff for Lily. I walk in I'm telling Kema(receptionist) I need a single dose of advantage multi. Stacy walked by in the back and saw me came back and said whatcha need? A single dose of advantage. For who? Lily. She walks to RX area. Grabs a 6month supply!! and just GAVE it to me!!

Needless to say Stacy is AWESOME. I think I'll have some flowers sent up there for her one day next week or something nice anyway.

Oh and the other vet we saw that day. She gave me two free doses of revolution for the bostons. =)


Oh and just so everyone knows, I have brain cancer and am currently undergoing radiation and (thank God) Oral chemo. Thats why my hair is cut super short, I have bald spots because its falling out from the radiation, not the oral chemo. not yet anyway.

Isn't it great when you find a vet and an office where the people are so generous and compassionate?! That is GREAT!

I'm so sorry to hear that you have brain cancer. I did see your pictures over on the introduction thread and your modeling pictures were stunning! The after surgery picture broke my heart. I love the ones of you and your son. How are you doing? Are you feeling OK with the chemo and radiation?

I'm sure you have some rough spots ahead but it's great to know you have such nice vets in your corner and we are here for you too.

Aw, how sweet was that? You certainly have enough worries on your mind with you own health and your son and she thinks enough of you to take care of the babies??? How sweet. There really are some great people in this world, aren't there??? You just take good care of yourself and your son. Hope you are feeling better soon!!!

I'm doing well. I have my last radiation treatment on Tuesday. Three weeks after that I'll have an MRI to see what good its done. My head def has some rough spots. lol. I finally cut all my hair off because it was falling out all over the place. But it will grow back. I think one of the reasons my vet is so generous is because I worked there for about 8 months last year. I quit when my at the time bf wanted me to move to FL with him...then we broke up then I found out I had cancer....man...crazy stuff.

Your vet is truly a blessing!
I will pray that your are healed and have a wonderfull report on your MRI.
I know how hard it must be......my mom went thru this too.
