Question hand lotion/cream

Every winter I have such a terrible terrible time with my hands being so dry they split in places and it's sooooooo SORE!! It hurts like the devil!! I cannot find anything that will really heal them and stop them from cracking open. Does anyone know of a miracle hand cream????
( I wash my hands ALOT so I think that's part of the problem, and i'm using a gentler hand soap NOT antibacterial as I know it's hard on the skin)

I do this very often....I apply Vaseline to hands and feet...after I cover hands with gloves and feet with socks overnight ...or for few hours while I watch TV...they will become softer...give it a try.....

Have you tried double base hand cream?

I do put vaseline on my hands at night no gloves though. It seems to help but only temporarily.

I use Nivia. It's a bit greasy, but it works well. The main thing really is to apply lotion every time you wash your hands while your hands are still a bit damp. That will prevent them from getting dry in the first place. I keep a bottle of lotion near my sinks.

The vaseline trick NTM4U posted above works well to help heal.

Thumbs up

Try "Gloves in a Bottle".
I used to use it every day before going to my job where my hands were constantly in bleach and/or water. It helps soooooooo much, and you really don't need to use much either. Also, I have a huge thing for what it feels like AFTER you put it on. You can't tell you just put lotion on with this with the greasy feel and it's also unscented, in case that's a worry for you or others around you.
Highly recommended!

The only thing I've found I really like is the udder cream for cows lol. Most drug stores sell it, its in a black and what spotted vat. Ummm yeah, its called udderly smooth or something. It is the ONLY thing that helps me, my hands are awful too
