Default Low Carb food idea

I have been on a low carb "lifestyle change" for almost 3 months in hopes to lose some weight. No bread, rice, pasta, potatoes mostly. Those 4 things were 95% of my diet and I had no idea what I was going to eat. Surpisingly, there is so much to eat! I don't even miss it that much.

Recently I really wanted sandwichs. School is out and I'm making sandwiches for the kids daily and I wanted some too! I ate some a couple days and felt horrible. So doing some brain storming and google-ing, I came up with romanie lettuce. Yup more lettuce! lol Anyway, today I had my first "lettuce sandwich and it was awesome. It left me full and satisfied! So now i can have "wraps and sandwiches".

I just wanted to share this incase there are others going through the same kind of thing. I wish I had discovered this earlier.

As of 1 month ago (last time I was weighed) I have lost 18lbs. I will be getting weighed tomorrow. I'm nervous and scared at the same time.

If you have any ideas to share, please do!

fantastic! keep up the good work on choosing healthy alternatives to things you know cause weight gain for yourself (we are all different, so awareness is the key). Be sure to add some kind of exercise to your lifestyle too! This is imperative to feeling fit and fantastic, full of energy and not least of all motivated all around--physical to mental!

Thanks.

I am pretty active with two kids, a husband, and a chihuahua. We ride bikes, walk, hike, play at the park. We also live in an apt on the 4th floor and I always use the stairs now. I just can't seem to stick to an excersize "video". I get bored quickly.

Yesterday I was weighed and I lost another 8lbs! 26lbs total loss now. I was so excited I could barely sit through the rest of the Dr appointment lol.

I was doing pretty much the Atkins diet which is what you're doing. I started in may and kept it up until mid july when i went on vaca and I stopped and can't seem to get back on. Congrats to you though!! I feel HORRIBLE when i am not on that diet..Physically i feel bloated all the time and nauseous sometimes and lots of headaches. When i was on the diet that all went away and i had tons of energy. I lost 10 lbs while i was on it but i bet i've gained bout all of it back. I am so upset with myself.
