Sure if someone has a horrible diet, and suddenly stops eating crap, some of their
'symptoms' may change, but it's not because they starve themselves.
If you desire to cleanse your body....there are other more heathy options, the first being change your diet to only real, fresh, unprocessed foods,
AND drink lots of water, and exercise. There is nothing that will make you feel better more quickly. Eat a simply, nutrient dense diet, and
sweat, and your body will change instantly.
Another option, if you feel you need to go the fasting route is juice fasting. You drink homemade fruit and vegetable juices only.
That is certainly a much more practical option.
Especially for someone with chronic health issues, denying yourself all
nutrition is the a very very bad idea. Very very very very bad idea.
Please reconsider your options !

I ONLY eat healthy, and I do not drink anything but water, ever. Due to my
bladder disease I am not allowed most foods and drinks. My diet can not get
any healthier, believe me. Water fasting if done correctly is extremely
beneficial to our body, it is detoxifying and cleansing. Many people do it for
religious reasons, health or just to loose weight. This existed since begging of
time, I am not the first to think of this. It was actually a recommendation
from my Doctor. There are ways to ease into it, it is not done overnight.
"There are many benefits to fasting. It is a natural human function to fast
dating back thousands of years. We are meant to fast when we are sick. This
is why we don't have an appetite when we are feeling under the weather.
Everyday we use such a great amount of our energy just for digestion, and if
you eat a great deal of meat products digestion is even more taxing on your
body. One reason we feel good in the mornings is because we haven’t eaten
anything in several hours.
When you fast your digestive system is resting, which will let your body heal
other parts of the body that have not gotten a lot of attention from our
immune systems. Some may think that you will go into starvation mode and
your body will shut off burning less fat. This simply is not the case. Your body
first will burn off the stored sugars. Then it will focus on all the stored
damaged tissue land toxins lurking in the body. Then it will go to fat."
I honestly did not think I'd have to justify my actions, I understand that if people
never heard of it, it could sound shocking, but it really isn't bad at all. Of course
there will always be silly people who fast and then return to pizza, this is not healthy.
It must be eased into, and done carefully and properly. There is plenty of information
available online on how to fast the right way, or one can always speak with their Doctor.
