Diet, Excersise, YOGA, Ughhh!!!

Okay, I'm told by my doctor I am at least 20lbs overweight. (100 pound ten year old girl that types all day long? Hmm, wonder how I got to that weight... OH! I love junk food, yep.)
So I am totally trying to loose it. I'm practically starving myself, excersising my bottom off, and doing Yoga and all kinds of stuff... but I'm not...
Not. L00sing. A. Single. Pound.
Anyone have tips!?!?!?

If you truly eat healthy and only healthy, well portioned small but frequent meals, and
exercise daily, you WILL loose weight. You must not starve yourself, you are still growing,
you need nutrition. Just stay away from junk foods, sugars(except natural fruit sugar), soft
drinks, etc. Give me an idea of what you eat in a day and what kind of exercises you do?

Alright, it usually goes like this:
Breakfast: Quarter cup cereal, a couple strawberries, occasionally an apple or banana.
Lunch: Light snack, maybe a couple of potato chips (rare) or a couple slices of pickles.
Dinner: Varies. Usually a bit of meat, maybe some veggies.
Desert: A couple WhoNu cookies or a Donut, possibly a small (very small) slice of cake but that is rare.
Oh, and the doctor telling me I'm overweight isn't really the reason I'm losing it- it's because I'm getting bullied about it. (Oh, look, Savannah... you're fat as a hog!) It's just bad.
I do excersizes like hula hooping to music, dancing (quickly) to music, jumping jacks, running, cardio glider, etc.

If you are worried about health then sure cut out the desserts, and replace them with healthier options.
But honestly looking at your day, it does not look like you are overeating. Especially that you are only 10 years old.
You are too young to diet, it should not even enter your mind. Are you sure you even need to loose 20pounds?
I'm sorry you are getting bullied, sometimes bullies will pick on you for made up reasons, because they are jealous,
or because someone bullies them. Try to not take what they say to heart. It is not your fault. Have you told anyone about being bullied?

I am resisting the urge to sound like my mother....as bad as it sucks it is just a fact that we all go through stages clumsy, chubby, skinny, and on and on. Another fact people are just mean or can be. If I were to give you any advice it would be:
1) Don't worry about what other people think, just be happy with yourself...I know easier said than done but just keep trying sooner or later you'll get it.
2) I'm sure you really don't need to worry about your weight but if you are bothered by it try just a few things at a time that way you won't be overwhelmed and more likely to give up. Trade one snack a day for a glass of water, or while your typing fidget your legs, kick your feet. If your watching tv do something silly during the commercials.
3) You are who you are there is nothing wrong with you! Don't spend you life trying to convince everyone else of that. If they can't see it right off they are not worth the time it would take. But be kind any way cause they probably can't help it either.

Aww Melissa, you said it well! Very sweet, and true!
Your mother is a wise woman! And sounds like a great mom.

I'm not really sure I do, but my doctor tells me that, so, I guess you would need to listen to a proffessional.
Anyway, I've been sticking to the diet and I've lost a few pounds, not much, though. And no, I'm not overeating now but my old schedule was something like this, lol:
Huge bowl of cereal, a banana, apple, and a few potato chips, a piece of candy or anything else I could get ahold of.
PB&J sandwich, half a huge back of tater chips, insane amount of junk food.
Huuugggeee plate of food (whatever was available, I ate it) as many deserts as I could grab without getting them taken from me because they were too much (hehe, I would grab a glob of them and run lol) junk, and then midnight snacks.
Now what about then? 0_0 I can't believe I ate all that for almost eight out of my ten years of life. xD

I agree with Melissa. You are too young to "diet." But having raised 3 children myself - I can give you a little advise. How much you eat is important. But more important is "what" you eat. You do need to form good eating habits while you are young. But deprivation, just doesn't work! If you don't give yourself small indulges, you won't succeed at losing or maintaining weight. Some of my family tease me because I will break a cookie, or cupcake in half, eat half and save the other half for when I felt like having another cookie!! That way, I ate only one cookie, not two! And it really satisfied me!
Good luck! But most of all, don't worry. Things will even out!
