Hahaha chuckles wickedly about the firemen .... this 3rd world hovel that caused me to have a major dummy spit & storm outside hissing, "I'm leaving, I'm leaving this building right now, never to be seen again, I cannot take another moment of this BS, do you hear me!!!" .... (have since written to the Board, and my emails & phones have been running hot all morning assuring me that they're waging a massive investigation on all fronts & will likely even refund the $500 insurance difference I had to pay) ....

So, I storm off outside into a heatwave, which was actually worse inside due to inadequate air-cond, dressed in 2 transposed hospital gowns so no huge gaping splits ... I scooted (read looked like the poor Elephant Man in a hurry) through the group of shocked nurses, staff & builder's labourers who'd gathered amidst the most deafening fire alarm I've ever experienced, as they all stood around gaping at my hissy fit. See, I was calling HWMNBO as I went, shrieking like a banshee, "I'm leaving now, I'm going, I'm gone .... with the alarm drowning out my words & sending him into a blind panic, lmao.

I burst out of the building, fit to kill anyone who dared to try to stop me when lo and behold, I walk bang, smack, headlong into a tribe of about 30 oncoming Fireman - ALL young hunks of spunk as per those in the above photo, swaggering towards me they were, and every last one of them just the sexiest darn thing I'd ever seen in all my born days - a few smiled, dipped their hats & said "Ma'am" as I strode (read hobbled) through their midst, lighting a cigar & screaming into a mobile phone like a demented fool as I went.

Well, I got so carried away watching (leering) them go about their business that I calmed down somewhat, went back into the building & awaited the good Professor, instantly who saw the method in the madness of discharging me before I committed all sorts of unmentionable atrocities & sought revenge against all & sundry except the superb nursing staff, bless him. He's prolly still chuckling.

Sigh, even now I close my eyes and can still see those fine young specimens who did their parents gene pool very, very proud! They unknowingly also answered a burning question for me – that even before my “bits” had probably been incinerated, I was struck by the happy realisation that everything still works just fine and dandy. Grins, thinks a Nanna Nap is in order so I can see those boys in my mind’s eye again!

That's my girl!
You turned my bad night upside down, I'm all smiles now. Thank you.
I'm really happy to hear that you might get your money back and that
they'll look into all of the things that made your stay at their hospital
not so great. I bet that even if only one thing changes for the better,
it'll still make a difference for the patients. It's really honorable that
even though you are still recovering, you are thinking of the other
poor souls at that poop hole, that should not have to deal with
anything other than trying to get better. Very thoughtful of you.

Going to do two ultrasounds today Di, and going to see the Gyno tomorrow
morning. I'm not well at all, and wanted to reschedule both, but am going
because you reminded me of how important it is. So you made impact on
at least one gal already. Lots of hugs, hope you are feeling better today.

Hey darlin', I just signed in so hopefully you see this before you go .... I'll be thinking of you and am so glad you didn't put them off (says she who was 3 years overdue for a mammogram until this scare) because they really are one of the easiest, least unpleasant and totally pain free procedures a girl can ever have.

All my Docs, including the Professor, told me that ultrasounds were far more accurate & reliable than CT scans so if anyone is ever referred to go and have a RADIOACTIVE CT scan after an ultrasound, see a Specialist or your Surgeon first and only get one if he requests it.

When those "Ultrasound ladies/guys" say, "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I'm not allowed to tell you anything?" when you ask, the perfect way to find out is to say, "OK then, I understand your position, perhaps you can tell me if it is imperative that I get back to see my Doctor this afternoon then?" and their answer will tell a woman all she needs to know in terms of whether they found SOMETHING, not necessarily something sinister, just something that is not meant to be there i.e. cyst, fibroid that can cause soooooo many problems with periods, bowels, digestive system, bak pain (the list is endless) but whilst they're causing all that, they're harmless in other respects the wee blighters.

Well Dee, I wish I got your message before going, because I was simply told that they'll send my results to the Doctor who prescribed me these tests. So now we wait. You know, I was convinced that these two ultrasounds would be pain free, I had an abdominal and a pelvic/vaginal one too. I was so wrong, I was in so much pain, I nearly fainted, I was literally crying, everything he touched(and he kept on pushing really hard all over from under my chest to down there) hurt so bad. Last time I had an ultrasound they simply put the jelly stuff and gently slid the device over my tummy....these two ultrasounds were nothing like that. Although, I was already in insane pain before we even started because you see because of bladder disease I have to urinate every 10-15 minutes max, but as preparation I had to drink 1 liter of water then hold it for 1 hour before appointment, then the doctor was late(stuck in traffic they said), so he took me in an hour after that...so I was forced to hold my bladder for 2 hours...I have not done that in many many years, so by the time my turn came I was shaking from pain and crying already, I could not even sit down, was holding onto the wall for dear life. It was very miserable experience, but I'm glad it is done. I don't think it should hurt a healthy person, but considering I'm in 24/7 pain already I guess the extra pain I felt from not being able to urinate and then being pocked around was to be expected. To top things off I caught some kind of a nasty virus that is making my body ache, gave me a sore throat, stuff nose, migraine and a strong dry cough, all this in one night. I had another Doctor's apt. today, and could not go, felt like I'm under a ton of bricks. Oh lord, I'm done complaining now. With all that, I'm still glad I got it done, it had to be done, I'm a nervous mess now though, hoping for good results, but I'm not expecting them considering how much pain I felt during the ultrasounds, it just wasn't normal. Love you Dee, thank you for reading my nonsense, I hope you are feeling much better my friend, I'm off to bed, I thought I could come on here read and chat, but my body is killing me, so I'm off to lie down for a while. Talk soon.

Dee I am so glad that your test results came back cancer free!! You have been in my thoughts a lot lately!

I totally understand why lab techs won't give results but sometimes I wish they would give us an idea of what is going on. I have been waiting for my doctor to call me back for over a week now with test results and it drives me nuts. the lab tech that did my lung test told me my lungs looked good for someone with asthma but told me not to tell anyone she said that because the doctor would call in a couple days to give me the results. I figured she would call with the rest of the results too because I have been going pee (I know too much info) a lot lately but they always seem to take forever when they are supposed to call.

LS I hope your ultrasounds give you some ideas and I am sorry to hear they were so painful. Hugs I hope you get some relief soon.

LS, I feel so bad for you. I went through the same thing last year and I could barely stand it. My friend's sister works at the hospital as an x-ray tech and when I got there she told me that they were running behind. After an hour and a bit I was crying and finally had to track down a tech and tell them about my bladder and that I was in pain and couldn't hold it any longer. She let me pee and got me to drink more water. I had to do that three times before the ultrasound. Maybe next time if we could somehow request to be the first patient in the morning.

Thank you for your well wishes Amy. I hope you get your results soon.

Krystal, when I was leaving there was a man rescheduling his appointment because he could no longer wait and he emptied his bladder. I don't know what is wrong with him, but I guess he also had trouble holding for so long and was in pain. I thought to myself "Why didn't I just reschedule too?". I think I'm just so used to suffering in pain quietly and just grinding my teeth that I don't know when to tell myself "enough is enough", you know? I just kept talking myself into waiting 5 more minutes, another 5, another 5, and so forth, but I swear I thought I was going to collapse at one point. I'm glad I got it done now, but next time I won't do the preparation, I'll just bring the 1 liter of water with me and drink it while waiting.
