On foot of Dee's recent post on ovarian cysts etc, a lot of us head off to google symptoms etc.

One site I personally find very level headed and reputable is the Mayo Clinic

So whenever I am googling health issues I will put - overactive thryoid + Mayo clinic or flu + Mayo clinic or whatever but always adding + Mayo clinic.

I just find so many sites are alarmist,or just plainly give bad information that I rarely google further than the Mayo Clinic - they give all the symptoms, causes, treatments etc.

Anyone else have a site that they particularly trust?

i dont have a site to suggest but just wanted to say thanks for the tip. i will remember now if i'm searching for info on some type of medical syptoms topic, i will try Mayo Clinic

I usually just google things when I need to. NO particular site that I use. I look at a few sites and if similar info is given then I may try the remedy or whatever I am looking for.

I love the Mayo Clinic site! I have used it tons in research for college papers and when looking up medical information for me personally.

I use it 99% of the time probably.

The only other go to website I have for medical information is for prescriptions and it is called RX List

I was pointed to it from my Pharmacology instructor and have found it very valuable.
