Is the photo contest still active each month? I'm trying to make sense of what I'm reading here, trying to view prior months winners, and figure out how to enter. I did click on one link, and got this message:

You should be able to enter. I suspect the mods have to change certain rights
manually after someone reaches 100 posts, so I'm sure they'll sort it out.

Be aware of the rules - each person is allowed to enter one photo,
and that photo needs to be one Chi only

OK, thanks for the info. Is there a message that gets posted once a month or whatever, saying what the theme is, the deadline, and any other relevant information? If so, where would I look for it?

There are always two threads - using this month for example:
"Halloween 2009" - the first post is the description of this months contest,
and this is the thread where you submit your picture.

"Halloween 2009 Chat " is the other thread, and like it says, it's there for people to discuss the entries.
That way the "Halloween 2009" thread only contains pics.

Finally, at some point near the end of the month, Yoshismom ( she's a mod who oversees the contest ) will start a Third thread,
called something like "Halloween 2009 Voting" which is simply a poll.

That poll lists all the entries and you can cast your vote at that time.

Clear as mud now, isn't it ?

we dont have to enable the accounts or anything to enter once you reach 100 posts you can enter the monthly comp by posting a pic in the relevent thread which has the month and the theme in the title, so for this month it would be here http://www.chihuahua-people.com/showthread.php?t=44459
