i came across an add on gumtree ie , for a beautiful lil girl chihuahua that needs a new home . she is 14 weeks old and the pics were so cute so i emailed the girl that was selling she said on the add she was from donaghmede in dublin .

so she wanted to know if i had knowledge of chihuahuas and wanted her to go to someone that would have plenty of time for her .
so i explained that i have two lil boys and know a lot about them and would have her insured and would have plenty of time for her . i was all excited untill the next email which she said she was in liverpool and could have her delivered to me if i sent 27o euros to her and when i got the lil puppy and knew i wanted her i could pay her another 150 , she did say i could collect her myself but still thing there is something weird wit the add .. what do you guys think ??

Edele, that is totally fake those ads pop up all the time - don't even answer her or email her back just ignore any emails you get from them.

It is a really well known scam - there is no puppy

It's such a shame that people can be so awful.

What you have to look out for is - a perfect beautiful chi - it's free - the English in the ad is awful and then the emails that they have moved and all you are paying is the shipping costs or whatever, you send your money and never hear from them again.

On this forum someone was offered that they too could collect the chi, so they said they would as their sister lived in that town, but then there were all kinds of problems that the sellers had to move all of a sudden, so it would still have to be shipped.

Just for future reference, you can usually tell by the pictures and the language used in the ad.

Im sorry this has happened though, thank goodness you didn't do it. I've heard of people sending hundreds and never seeing their money or any puppy

i was never going to send money over and i didnt relpy as i had an idea it was all a fake .. some ppl really are just bad , and pick on the ppl who care its awful
