My husband's got an interview next week with a new department...he's obviously done well to pass the application form sift, but now he's got to complete an online test, a 30 minute interview infront of a panel of 3 and then a Presentation (which he doesnt know the subject of)

Its not even for a higher grade its the same grade he is now and a similar job, its so OTT and he's so nervous and not good in 'interview' situations - even though he's good at the job, so I really want to try help him get over this Presentation fear.

Has anyone else had to do a unknown presentation as part of an interview? What could he expect and how should he prepare? And how the hell does a shy person pass such a thing!

My brother has done several of these. He works in the banking industry.
I would say, the best thing he could do to prepare is give himself a mock presentation to do... so, pick a subject within the industry he is in, and talk out loud about it.
Some companies give candidates slides etc, some give access to powerpoint to prepare the presentation, so he should make sure he is familiar with that program.
I will ask my bro for some more tips for you when he finishes work.
