Question Amazon Question!

I never minded ordering things offline, in fact, I do it quite often. Mostly everything I order for Roxy is ordered offline. Not too long ago, I had my card information stolen and was charged almost $800 for something on some random website that I have never even heard of. Luckily, the website itself found it suspicious and put a hold on it. I had to file papers through my bank just in case it went through. Fortunately for me, it never went through, and everything was just fine. I did have to get a new card though. I always make sure I'm ordering from safe and secure websites, however, I guess one of them somewhere along the line wasn't so safe! I always use the PayPal option too.

BUT ... Amazon does not have a PayPal option. I know I have ordered from Amazon before, but like I said, I'm a little bit more cautious now. Is Amazon safe to buy from? Can the person/company I'm buying from see my card information? Or does it just go through Amazon itself, and then to the company/person I'm purchasing from without them seeing any of my information?

Every time I order from Amazon it shows up as "Amazon" on my CC statement, so I think Amazon charges you and then pays the other people.

Maybe get a debit Visa/MC and then deposit money on it whenever you want to order something, so if your details ever get stolen they can't really do anything with it.

That is a really good idea! I think I'll do that too. Thanks

I recently had a $749 dollar charge on my account from someone in the UK that bought themselves a new computer. I buy stuff online all the time. I had to go through a 2 week dispute to get it taken off. Most all of the websites say they are safe, but you just never know. If they are getting our card info., it's coming from somewhere. :/
