Default super glue.. Oh NO!

I accidentally spilled super glue all over my hands and on my wedding ring tonight. It was a new weird kind of bottle that i've never used and when i squeezed it came out from another area i wasn't expecting. I have tried warm soapy water soaking and some nail polish remover to no avail though. It's driving me cuckoo and my diamonds on my ring are caked with it.
Anyone know what else to try!?

They sell super glue remover at hardware stores, you also have the option of goo gone but I think acetone usually works better than that.

You can soak it in warm soapy water for a while, that'll help lift the adhesion.

Most jewelry stores in the mall do free ring cleanings -- you might wanna do that.

Call the manufacturer of the glue. Number should be on the bottle. If not call Craft Hotline at 1800-865-7238. That is from our bottle of 'fabric tac'. Permanent adhesive. Good luck. Sue

OK... so I know this doesn't help you, but I have a really good superglue story for your reading pleasure.

When Hubby and I were at University studying music we had to perform a recital at the end of each year. Right before this, Matt, who as a classical guitarist needs long nails to play on his right hand, had broken a nail and I suggested he used a nail glue (basically superglue for nails).

As he was using the glue the tube splotched and to cut a long story short he glued 3 of his fingers to his thumb. bwahaha

He had to go to hospital to have them unglued and his recital had to be delayed for 3 months. oops. but LOL!
