I don't know how I feel about dogs being put to sleep because they bit someone, but this is just cruel. Don't make the poor guy live his last days in a kennel, away from his owners.
This is why I never let kids I don't know pet my dogs! While my dogs have never bitten anyone, kids running up to them make them nervous and I would never risk them being put to sleep for biting.
