*Update* Aunts Ovarian Cancer - Chihuahua Forum : Chihuahua Breed Dog Forums

First I want to say thank you all for all the prayers and good thoughts when I posted the news about a year ago. I'm sorry I haven't updated at all, it has been a crazy year.

After my aunt found out she had late stages of Ovarian cancer she was put on chemo. My mom and I didn't miss a day and wen up there with her for all of her appointments. She went 6 months with chemo, doing good, lost her hair, but no horrible sickness that you get sometimes. Don't get me wrong, this wasn't a walk in the park for her at all, just thankful for the little things like daily sickness and other complications you get with chemo. Her tumor was shrinking like crazy and doing really well. At 6 months the chemo stopped working. They wanted to put her on another chemo but wanted to wait 3 months. Time goes by and she goes for her update and the tumor hasn't even grown! Amazing news!! So they say they'll keep her off chemo and see her again in another so many months, again no growth of the tumor. She was skin & bones but slowly you could see her looking her old self again. This was taken on her 60th birthday party after being off chemo for a bit.

Since July (when that was taken) she has had other update in October. Still no growth! Thank the Lord!!!! She has even gained more weight and looks great! She goes out shopping and is enjoying her life right now. She wasn't able to leave the house for a year esp to go to chemo b/c she was so weak It broke my heart because she loves to shop! lol Now she is back!!

All things a side, the doctors pulled us aside and said when she first came in they didn't think she would make it. They said she was so far gone that it is a miracle she is alive today. Thank you all for the prayers! She has another appointment in the months ahead. I will update you then. Please keep the prayers coming! Again, THANK YOU!

Sorry I didn't update on here, I've been wanting too. I know some of you on facebook have been emailing me keeping in touch that way. Again, thank you so much it means a lot to me!

Wonderful news. I am sure it has been a hard road for you and your mom. Glad she is doing better. It must mean the world to her to have a daughter like you to support her through it all.

Kerri, that's such great news! She looks beautiful for her age and all she's gone through. I didn't know about the story from when you first posted it, but I hope her luck holds out and she keeps going strong. I'm sure she's glad to have you as a niece.

Thank you girls! We are very blessed! It's been a long hard road for her! I just pray she can stay on this good path and it doesn't start growing! Thank you again for the prayers & good thoughts! They mean alot!! =)
