Default Feeling so good but....

Today is the day i'm moving everything out of my ex boyfriends house. We are on mutual terms and I have moved on I am currently seeing someone else, but I am in no rush to get serious believe me!

Anyways I could use some support I'm having anxiety about it for some reason. I honestly to the bottom of my heart do not want to be with him any longer I am happy, I'm doing things I never would have been able to do like put together a bedroom set he would have said "don't worry about i'll do it" and I wouldn't have even been allowed to help I felt so good doing it for myself. It was one of the way he would feel superior to me , but now I know that it was just his insecurity mixed with ego.

Still the anxiety is there and i really don't know why but it is driving me crazy I can't keep living with it if it keeps up my quality of life will be nothing

I know how it feels to have anxiety, I actually have to take medication for it. I really don't know what to say... hope you feel better about it soon.

It'll go away.. but unfortunately it just takes time. It's hard to train your mind to think a whole new way; when for so long you were used to only imagining your future with another person being a part of it. When suddenly you realize you are now in control and that things aren't going to turn out the way you expected; it can be difficult to face that. I suffer from Pure-O OCD where it's basically a constant anxiety over things and the only way to overcome it is to train your mind not to react. Much easier said than done... it's just important to realize that when your anxiety is caused by a specific issue; that WILL subside over time. As you become less and less sensitive to the topic/subject you will realize it does not trigger the emotional response that it used to. Does that make sense? Kind of like you need to desensitize your emotions to the situation. And that's not really something you can make a conscious effort to do... it just kinda happens; as life goes on. And that's the important thing not recognize; that life DOES go on; whether the anxiety is present or not. Hope that helps in some way; I know OCD and breakups are not the same but both suffer from anxiety issues...

Aww Kelsey, sweetie you should be so proud of yourself!
You are doing it girl, you are taking back control over your life!
Everything good in life takes work, if it didn't we probably wouldn't appreciate it
as much! You are doing the work, and soon enough you will be able to enjoy the
result. You are young, intelligent and beautiful, life has so much to offer you,
you just have to take it. If the anxiety is getting the best of you then you might
need to speak to a professional. But it is absolutely possible that this is simply a
natural result to the situation you were in. You did great by coming on here and
writing down your feelings, it's healing to let it out. Yoga, music, baths, walks,
puppy kisses can all help as well. Try to focus on the positive that came out of
this, focus on it and congratulate yourself for growing wiser and braver.
