Thumbs up still sewing? what are you working on?

I've spent the greater part of the past year quilting. I decided to try to make
something different for my friend for Christmas. Here is a reversible bag that
I just finished. The top stitching was the most fun!

I think she will love the wild horses print

here it is turned inside out:

this is the pattern I found on the web:
Reversible bag pattern

So... what are You working on?

Way cute Therese! I am always in need of a decent bag, and that pattern looks like I might be able to make it Gonna give it a try. I recently got a sewing machine for 'heavy duty' sewing that allows me to sew through thick or furry fabrics, mostly to repair my hubby's pants (good grief), and to make stuff for the dogs. I've made a few snuggle sacks as well as blankets but that's as far as I've gotten. I was really into sewing when I was in grade school and high school so its fun to pick it back up again.

thanks Kristi
check out the photos below of the embellishment i added... i thought it was
going to be a fast project. well, there is a lot of clipping and pressing of
seams that curve. (wasn't really detailed in the pattern) so, overall, it was
about a 5 hour project. i took advanced tailoring in HS, but omg that's been
nearly 40 years ago! it really is like riding a bike--you don't forget the basics.
if i find any more fun patterns, i'll be sure to share! why don't you post some
pics of your snuggle sacks?

i added a sort of bandana embellishment--i think it goes with the horse theme
and i had that piece of fabric left over after cutting out the pattern. found
the cute leather button in my button jar--and, there it is! the finished reversible bag.

Very nice project Therese, I really enjoyed looking at your quilting projects...you inspired me to make a few little quilted projects, but they are definitely not picture worthy.

I love the things you make! Please post pics. The crate mat/pad you made for
Tabitha's Secret Valentine is our all-time favorite gift! It has had a hundred uses
and we would love to have more of them! Thank you again for this wonderful item
