I want to buy a good photo shop program, or find real good one for free. I want to do so much with new Camera.
Any suggestions?

^ I LOOOVE Microsoft Picture-It! I have a new computer also and it works with mine; have you re-installed it with the original disc?

I also like the other "old skool" program Adobe Photo Deluxe, Home Edition. It was basically the last "super user friendly" program made before they released all of the Photoshops. Not that I don't like photoshop; but I can already do everything I need to with my other programs and I even work as a graphic artist for a photographer lol.

I do love Adobe Photo Deluxe though, a LOT; and every thing you want to do comes step by step with a tutorial so there's really not much you have to learn as it's all explained to you. Its been obsolete for a while but you can still find copies of it for sale. Some people have complained about the step-by-step instructions but they don't bother me. I can still whiz through any editing effects I want to do.

For more basic editing, there's the free one that comes with either Photobucket or Tinypic accounts. After an image is uploaded, you can click to "Edit" it and it'll bring up a whole bunch of different tabs for effects, touchups, etc.

I have many graphic programs but I find that Photoshop Elements is the one I seem to use more and more....I think you can download and try it out for free...
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10
if you ever get into digital scrapbooking, PS Elements is the preferred program out there... Each graphic program has its own 'unique' feature but for the 'ordinary' stuff, they all work the same(just might have a different name for the same feature).... Corel Paintshop Pro is another that is fairly easy to learn.... Photoshop CS5 is fun but really takes time to learn....

for example.... STYLES.... Photoshop Elements doesn't use them but Photoshop CS5 does.... so it will depend on what I want to use with my scrapbook pic, Siggy, or Tag...to which program's unique feature I use.... but for the easy to learn program... I would recommend either Photoshop Elements or Corel Painshop Pro

GREAT!! once you start digital scrapbooking you can't stop...LOL there are HUNDREDS of scrapbooking sites that you can pay for kits... but there are also hundreds of blogs that offer FREE kits.... when you get ready, let me know and I can email you my bookmarks to get you started... and some forums you can join....

BTW, don't get frustrated when you first start out.... its like anything else, there is a learning curve.... I suggest you get a tutorial off the photoshop elements user site and try it out... I learned by that method, found something I wanted to create, printed the tutorial, and made one myself...
