Hey this is fun!
Hi my name is Jean, though I've been "Pastel" online as long as I can remember. I'm turning 26 this year! Wow years blend in after your 19th birthday!

I'm married to the man of my dreams for 3 years, although it was more a formality. We knew we were going to spend the rest of our lives together, married or not.

I'm mother to a colicky, attention hog, and now teething 3 and a half month old son, Elias (it can only get better) and a super sweet but still not accident free 6 and a half month chi, Nike. It's pretty sweet that they were born exactly 3 months apart, July 18th and Oct 18th

I've always been a dog person and my husband's always been a cat person. Well after having 2 cats, my allergies almost killed me (sad story on the cats, but they lived with my inlaws with a nice big yard and lots of cat friends for the last days of their lives), we decided to get a dog. My husband now adores Nike and is almost letting me get away with everything (including getting a buddy for her). He's still super picky about our next Chi though. Hasto be under 5 lbs, preferably long coat, non-barker,chewer, social (meaning I probably have to get them from puppy or already well socialized *sigh*), good looking, under 2 years old, and within 30 mins driving distance to pick him/her up. Anyone know a chi that fits that description?

Part of the reason I had to get married was the US bureaucracy as I'm canadian. Then I found out I needed to give the government $2k to "legalize" my residency, but failed the first time because my husband didn't make enough to sponsor me. The gov just took our 2k and said have a nice day! Oh, and please return to Canada.

Well, I refused! US law is very confusing. Apparently I was here illegally legally.. *just another way to say ur not bothering us, so we'll leave u alone*
I'm just about to put in a new application as soon as my co-sponsor gets his w2
and another $1k to US immigration (those thieves!)

I'm a stay at home mom as I need a social security card to work. I can't wait to start working, even part time! I'm no good at home

My husband got a job recently that would let me stay at home if I wanted, but I've decided I'd still like to do some kind of jobs (or at least volunteer). I don't know how you stay at home people do it! I feel like I'm in prison for the last 3 years.

I like to game, design websites, edit photos and graphics, build computers, fix computers.... ok let's just say it I'm a geek. I'll help anyone with computer issues or setting stuff up for free, just send me a PM anytime.

wow, I think I take the cake on the longest reply!

Good idea! I can't believe I didn't see this sooner.

My name is Kim, my husband and I live in Western Kentucky in the lake area. I am originally from this area, but spent 10 years in Ontario, Canada prior to moving back here 2 years ago.

We are both 51 years old, and have 4 grown children between us - he has two daughters and I have a son and a daughter, ranging from 23 years old to 32. We have 5 grandchildren, 1 girl and 4 boys, ranging from 1 month to 5 years old. 4 of them live in Canada, so we don't get to see them near enough, but one is here close by, and we spoil him rotten.

I work in a busy physician's office and do all the insurance and scheduling - I also fill in in the lab every once in awhile, when I have to. My husband works for the largest auto dealership in the area.

We just bought a house, and will be moving soon! The dogs will have almost an acre of fenced in property to run around on! I'm restraining myself from adding to the pack!

Hi everyone!!! My name is April and I live in Upstate New York. I'm 31 years old and I have a 12 year old daughter. My boyfriend and I bought a house together in 2010 and we have been together for 5 years this spring. I am a stay at home mom. I used to be a nurse, but hurt my lower back 3 years ago so now I am disabled. I became depressed and felt worthless so I decided that it was time to get dogs.

We have 4 dogs because I have always had dogs in my house growing up. In my opinion, a house just isn't a home without a dog. I have 2 pit mixes that are brother and sister. The male's name is Blue and the female's name is Tannar. They will be 2 this summer. We rescued them from the SPCA as puppies. My daughter owns the male LC chihuahua, she got him for being on High Honor Roll for her entire first year of Middle School. His name is Little Bear ( his registered name is Jewels' Little Bear) He just turned 1 at the end of January. Once we got him, I fell in love with the breed. So 7 months later his parents had another litter, unexpectedly, so I got his sister. She is a SC and is 5 months old. Her name is Maia ( her registered name is Jewels' Little Miracle Maia). The reason for her registered name is because she was the last one born in her litter and labor had stopped. When they got her mother to the vet, the vet had to give her several shots to get labor going again and they didn't think there was a very good chance for her to be born alive, but she survived!!!!! When I saw her she resembled 2 other dogs that I owned. So it was kind of like those 2 dogs all wrapped into this little tiny one. Well, there's a little bit about me. Looking forward to reading more about everyone else!!!!!

Well Hello my name is Cheryl. I live in central Indiana.
I'm 43 and hubby is 37. We will have been married 20 years this coming Sept.
We have 3 children. A 17 year old daughter, 12 year old son and 14 year old son.
We also have 4 dogs. A male boxer named Winston who will be 8 this summer, a chi mix we rescued and she is *i think* 10 or 11 yrs. old, and our chi's Leila and Finnegan. Leila will be 2 in March and Finn will be 1 in April.
I have 1 sister, that is 8 years older than me. She and her hubby have 5 children. She and I live in the same neighborhood, and our dad lives in this neighborhood too. haha My parents were here first though.lol
I lost my mom last March and I have had a pretty tough time with it.
Let's see, after graduating high school I went to beauty school and got a liscense in cosmetology. I did that for a while then got tired of the inconsistent pay check from working in a beauty shop that was not in a busy area. So I started working for our church daycare teaching the preschoolers.
Once I had my first child I stopped working and have been a stay at home mom pretty much ever since. I take care of a 1 1/2 year old little girl at my house, pretty much daily.
I love to read, play video games, and do crafts in my spare time. I LOVE dogs!!!! I am sooo a dog person! Unfortunately my sister has cats(2) and my dad has 2 cats (they were my moms') and i'm not a big cat lover. My older son is super allergic.
Recently i've discovered that my oldest son is displaying signs of Asperberger's syndrome. And i'm 100% sure he's got it. I have discussed this with his school and they are going to be testing him. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about it.
Can't think of anything else. lol
Good thread

This thread is awesome

My name is Jessie, and I live in Central Florida with my husband. We've been married for 3 years, but have been together since he was 16 and I was 17. I majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. I'm an office manager and I love my job most days. Hubby is a CPA (certified public accountant). Once we have a baby, I will be a stay at home mom.

I love painting (acrylics, and dogs are my favorite subject!), photography, writing (I've written a novel), reading, going to the beach, hiking, and of course, spending time with my dogs!

I grew up in New England and moved to Florida when I was 14 years old. I'm not sure I want to stay in Florida, but I do want to stay in a warm climate!

I love to travel. Hubby and I go on an international trip every year and we're trying to plan this year's trip at the moment.

Not sure what else to add!
