I just found out my mom, who is 86, fell several times and is in the hospital. Nothing's broke, thank goodness. My dad just can't handle her anymore. She has dementia. So it looks like she will be moving in with me. I'm still trying to get more information from her nurse, but I guess in the next few days, I will be going down to LA and moving her up here. Heaven help us both. Actually, I think it will be great for mom, I've been wanting to manage her health better than she has, so this gives me a chance. But it's not going to be a picnic, she keeps falling and refusing to use her walker or wheelchair. Should be interesting.

svdreamer! i always see the people who have dimentia in dramas and movies and such...they never make it look easy to deal with whether it be u who has it or u have to take care of someone that does. i wish u the best of luck on this! and yes thank god nothin broke! <3

Oh Pam, I will be praying for you. I know that you will enjoy having your mother with you, but I saw my mother take care of her mother and helped her. I know what you are going to be undertaking. Hugs and Prayers.
