You need not live in NY to sign this and let your voice be heard. These people already own 1 puppy mill with violations by the USDA and yet they are half way through the approval process for another one. Please help stop this.

UPDATE:

We have just received the following information from the Gorham Town Supervisor, Fred Lightfoote:

Due to the thousands of calls and emails he has received from you and other concerned animal advocates, at tomorrow night’s town council meeting Lightfoote will be recommending that the board place a moratorium on the construction of dog breeding facilities in the city limits; the board will then vote. Right now, he is unsure how a moratorium will affect this current proposed facility, but the town’s attorney is already looking at that issue.

Since so many people are expected to attend the meeting, the location has been moved to the Gorham Elementary School. The meeting will begin at 7:30 pm.

It is very important that all concerned local advocates attend this meeting. If you are not a local advocate, please help spread the word!

Thank You for signing LS...you and only a handful of others from here signed. I'm shocked and disappointed considering that everyone here thinks of themselves as animal lovers, many do rescue work, and there are people here that own dogs from puppy mills. I guess I thought there would be more support. Actually, I counted on a lot more support. There were 9 posts expressing disgust on my original thread about this and not even that many here signed.

I just want to let you know LS that there was some good news although the fight to stop this is not over yet:

Absolutely, 5 seconds out of our day is all it takes, and it makes a difference.
To be honest I am quite shocked too, I was expecting more support.
Come on folks please for the love of dogs sign the petition.
The initial approval for the puppy mill project has been nullifed, but the fight
is not over, it still has to go before the Ontario County Planning Board.
"...any decisions by the board will likely affect not only this project but future similar projects."
So if you are against Puppy Mills take a stand & SIGN NOW!

Thank You ~LS~ once again for your support. I was hoping that being a member here for 3 years might have helped garner some support for this petition, must less the fact we are all "animal lovers" here. Sadly, I was mistaken. Looks like when the next round with the Ontario County planning board takes place, I will need to look elsewhere for support.
