Pat, I have thought so much about you!!! My prayers are with you all! WOW! Your pics are heartbreaking! I know you have much to be thankful for, but that is so much devastation. I have lived in Mobile, Al. my whole 46 years, so I know a thing or two about hurricanes--no power for weeks, gas rations, food rations, cold showers or no showers/no water, the dangers, but I have never personally suffered that kind of damage inside or outside any of the homes I've lived in throughout the years. I hate to sound stupid, but I wasn't sure by your post--are you going to get Momma Mia back? Please keep us posted as much as you can. We really care!!

edit: BTW, LOVE that beautiful antique china cabinet in the pic of the room after the demo cleanup.

The couple that took Moma Mia in had just lost their chihuahua recently and fell in love with her....so.....I'm letting them keep her. It's really the best thing for her at this stressfull time.

I love that china cabinet too When I was a little kid, I remember looking at that cabinet in my grandparents house hope that it would be mine some day....and I did finally get it about 30 years ago. Most of the wooden furniture made it, but anything with material on it had to go. grrrrrrr

I can't even imagine, but I guess you could try to look for the bright side by thinking...REDECORATE!!! Just trying to lift your spirits. I know you will miss Momma Mia, but I know after losing their pup recently she will be loved.

So sorry to hear about your troubles..having lived on the coast all my life understand completely. Power out for any length of time stinks...not to mention flooding. Things can be replaced lives can't..so glad y'all are all okay!!
