So what is green bean casserole? i'm guessing something different than the English version of a casserole. And you guys have macaroni cheese as a side dish with a roast? We eat it as a meal over here.
If you have turkey at thanksgiving do you have something different for Christmas?
It all sounds so yummy!

Green bean casserole in my house is green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and crispy onions baked. Super easy and delicious. For thanksgiving, it's usually just my immediate family (parents, grandma, me and sister) and we have turkey. For Christmas we have way more people- extended family and friends- so we have a turkey and a ham.

Mac and cheese can be a side dish or a main meal here.

And to those of you who can't spend it with your family please don't be too sad,
what matters most is that you have a family to be thankful for. To me holidays
are always a little sad, because I miss family that passed, but I'm very thankful
for hubby and the dogs, even though he will work on Christmas and even though
we can't afford a big dinner or gifts, we have each other, that's all that matters.
Holidays are just calendar days, you know, if we can't celebrate it on one day,
what's stopping us from celebrating it on another?(whenever it is possible)
So cheer up friends, it'll all be ok! Just make sure to call your loved ones
and tell them they are loved and missed.
Thank you! I agree. <3

Green bean casserole:

2 cans of shredded green beans, drained
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
I add about 1/2 cup milk
1/2 large can of French fried onions
Salt, pepper, onion salt to taste.
Stir all together, add the rest of the French fried onions to the top.
Bake till bubbly on 350

Macaroni & cheese is mostly a side dish here.

For Christmas I either do a Ham, or something totally different. Usually Italian.
