Me too, I got my Turkey yesterday, and what makes it nice here in Florida, we are having a cool spell (I am from the north)and feels more like Thanksgiving. Hope you and your family have a good one!

Aw I'm jealous. I am 800 miles from home and can't make it home for thanksgiving. A few friends and I are doing a potluck thanksgiving but it's not the same.

Oh that sounds soooo good, Jan!!! I usually do Pecan and Pumpkin pie. I was given a recipe for "better than sex" cake by a friend, I might try that. Gotta venture out with the desserts!

I've looked at Turkeys all week. But so far I haven't found one under 97 cents a lb. That's highway robbery.

What do you traditionally eat for Thanksgiving? I know its roast turkey and yams and pumpkin pie, any other traditions?

In my family it is turkey, yams, green bean casserole, stuffing (dressing), bread, mashed potatoes. Basically carb overload lol. And pumpkin pie (and apple for me since I'm allergic to pumpkin).

I am kind of bummed this year.

My family always has a huge dinner, which included me spending days before and all day cooking/baking. We usually had so many people over that we had ham and turkey. This year since it is just hubby and I we decided not to do the huge dinner thing. It doesn't help that hubby is not a real fan of turkey either. He will eat it just to make me happy but it isn't his favorite meal. I decided to let him have a meal he wants this year for Thanksgiving (he just doesn't know it yet.) I am going to make homemade pepperoni rolls and homemade pizza sauce for Thanksgiving.

I know my family in WV will be having a great big turkey dinner but this year our Thanksgiving is going to be Pepperoni Rolls.
