I'm studying for my doctorate in ethics, and I also work part time in the evenings at the National Library of Scotland. Currently I'm trying to work out what I want to do with my life - I've got a first class bachelors in zoology, a Masters in ethics and soon (hopefully!) a doctorate, but I have no idea where it's all leading! My problem is that I'm so shy that I don't think I'd be good at anything!

I used to be a secretary at a large paper company for almost 10 years, but the company closed. My favorite job was working very short, just a few months, a very very long time ago, at various theaters preparing the productions, scenery, wardrobe, etc, but then alot of theaters closed and that was the end of it.
Basically I now work from home doing translation work anytime I can get it. I basically raise my 2 children..one that is 12 year old and is human, and one furry little blossom that I can enjoy hanging out with since I work from home now.
I feel boring compared to the lot of you!

Gottcha..eh? People that know me outside of forum land would also laugh at that as I am too shy to be "famous" or vain. I am a behind the scenes type of gal...
Don't think for a second though that I am not gorgeous enough or can't call down the angels with my beautiful voice... no vanity here! : jk!

This is an awesome thread, Tiff! I feel like I "know" you all even better now LOL!
As for me, all of my post High School education was a few Animal Biology courses toward a vet tech degree. Unfortunately the school was not accredited by the AVMA. I wasn't that upset though, as I was already working for a vet at the time and I also found out the state of IL doesn't require a 'veterinary technician' degree to be employed with that title. The education was what I felt was important anyway. I stayed in the veterinary field for 7 years. Also had the BEST job as a doggy day camp counselor until the business closed.
Now, I'm a stay at home dog foster mommy and I also work part time as an (artists) model. When I can make it to an art show it's still weird seeing pictures of me. I can post some of the ones I have rights to if anyone wants to see them. A teeny tiny one is my profile page picture. My dogs keep me busy, though, and has always been my main focus in life.

Hahaha! I love it!!! But I want to say, if I am right, and you are an American living in Greece--boring you are NOT!!! You have me beat all over the place. lol Along with Tiffany in Japan and Caitlin in Sweden--brave. Also, the actress, singer, model thing reminded me of a thread on my Maltese forum once. I don't go on there very often, and by the time I caught the thread it was several pages long, but it started with a member saying that they knew all about each other's dogs and what they did for a living but why didn't they tell something they would never know about each other--she would start--she had been engaged to a Saudi Arabian prince once. The next person (who also lived in Greece) said she once rescued the wife of the head of the CIA from a hotel--don't ask for details she could not give them. One said she sold an outfit to Janis Joplin out of a store she owned in Calif. and Janis wore it on the cover of a magazine (I think I have that one right-I'm doing this off memory). Someone rode a plane with Matt Dillon and someone rode an elevator with Matt Damon. Many of these people live in California and New York. I don't want to give the wrong idea--they were not one upping or bragging and there were PLENTY of average tales like I told it was just fun to read and some of their life experiences were facinating. Someone needs to start a thread with an interesting tidbit about you or something that has happened to you--LS would be great at that!
