So...I was just thinking that I talk to a lot of you girls on a daily basis and yet, I can't remember what some of you do for a living? I thought this would be a good conversational starter too. If you work, what's your job? If you're a student, what are you in school for?

I was working in banking just to make some extra money for school, but since we've moved overseas, I've decided to not work for a while and just focus on school and volunteering. I'm graduating with a undergrad in psychology this summer and then am going to start building my application for a MD program that begins in a few years. Being in Japan has really put a stop sign on my plans though. Oh well! May as well enjoy it.

As I have 4 kids I've never had a career. I do people's cleaning, I used to do this everyday of the week but 2 of my ladies died, (one had Parkinson's and was poorly and the other was bed-ridden after a stroke) and so now I only do this 2 days a week. The other 3 I look after my 15 month old grandson while my daughters at work. Not very exciting but the cleaning has always fitted in nicely with the kids.

I work for a big IT company, doing general Business Support - ordering goods, mobile phones, etc to allow the technical people to do their job better!

Its very boring and certainly not my ideal job (i always wanted to be a teacher) but life got in the way, and the money isnt so bad.

As I had my kids young I never really got the chance to think of a job I really wanted to do. (When I was about 8 I wanted to be an archaeologist but that doesn't count!). I did a small spell of being a teaching assistant so yes, I think teaching would be a lovely career to get into.

I work in advertising sales for the biggest digital network in Australia. I love working in advertising because its such a creative industry and now I'm in digital (I was selling advertising in newspapers previously) they're is literally no limit to what I can sell - if i come up with the idea and the client will pay then we can get it built!

I work for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington, DC in the Transportation Security Administration(TSA) division as a Training Specialist(WOW what a mouthful!)...... I have a 2 1/2 hour commute EACH WAY to work but I love what I do......I have been a Training Specialist since the beginning of TSA(over 10 yrs)
