So terrible. I live close to that mall too, so glad I didn't decide to go Christmas shopping that day! I don't understand what is wrong with some people... Murdering anyone is terrible, but innocent kids is so much worse.

This is a very sad day. The world is not what we expect anymore. What has happened, when I was young going to school this would never happen.

Let's send prayers out for everyone who lost their child in this. This is very hard to type, because I cannot understand this and my eyes don't stop from crying.

Thank you for starting this thread. My heart goes out to those poor people. As a mother I cannot imagine losing my child. As a teacher I cannot imagine leading my children out of school holding hands with their eyes closed so they could not see the dead bodies. What a tragedy.

My heart is broken, as are many peoples' around the world. I read in the news there were 2 more shootings the day or 2 days after. Also a young child strapping himself into a booster seat shot (killed?) by a pistol his father had just purchased and left on the back seat.

Over here, it only took 2 x gun massacres to change our laws forever, and I don't think there'd be a soul outside of USA who would disagree that it's about time USA woke up to itself and followed suit. I'm sorry if that sounds narrow minded, but we just can't imagine what it must be like to live in a society where there seems to be more guns than people.

Was reading a story the other day of a poor watchmaker who shot & killed 5 robbers during several separate robberies and how he got shot up himself a couple of times, it's just beyond comprehension.

How did a civilised, western nation fall into such a state of emotional disrepair and moral bankruptcy?
