i'm defintitley losing weight in 2013. At least another 25 pounds, but maybe even more . i recently found ( a few months ago ) , i was diabetic. since my diagnosis i've lost around 30 pounds. i had a 3 month check up and my doc did some bloodwork and was very please with my results.
i have cut way down on sugar and carbs. So, my resolution is to continue what i've been doing and lose more weight in 2013.

** and for anyone out there trying to lose weight, i have found that sugar and carbs is so addicting. once you give them up , you dont crave them like you do when your eating them. when youre eating them you want more and more. well, i dont know if thats how it is for everyone but thats how it was for me

I decided a few years ago that resolutions were not motivating but rather something difficult to keep and therefore made me feel as if I missed a goal if by February I had already blown it. I am a SUPER driven, results oriented person of action so that really was not helpful.

Then I learned about myoneword.org. So I choose one word to represent a filter or overlay to my attitude and choices for the upcoming year. So I have chosen words like peace, service, health, gratefulness.

I have not yet chosen my word for this year. Because I am a person of faith, I am seeking what God is showing me is a need in my character. From those things I will choose this year's word.

I LOVE that one word idea!! I am definitely going to check out the website, and be in prayer, and in the Word, about which word would best represent the Lord's will for me in 2013. Thanks so much for sharing this!
