Hey Y'all!

Almost 2 weeks ago I graduated from grad school with my Masters Degree as a Physician Assistant! Woo Hoo!!! It has been the hardest 27 months of my life, so much harder than undergrad was but it will be worth it. I start my new job in just a few days. I was lucky enough to be hired by a clinic that I did one of my rotations at and I think it will be a great fit for me.

When I got divorced I realized that as much as I loved being a vet tech and dog trainer, I just couldn't live on the salary, I needed more so I would never have to depend on a SO again. So I looked around, found a path that I had the undergrad classes required for and that I thought I would enjoy and applied. It was hard to get into and very hard to complete. Being a PA is a very demanding career path but I finished in style!!

So on to a new and different portion of my life, one I never saw coming but one that I hope will be challenging and rewarding and that will allow me to live the life I want to live with my dogs.

that is really awesome! im so happy for you. congrats!!!!! i bet those months were really brutal! i couldn't make college last for me...it wasnt for me. lol but im happy u were able to surpass all the challenges it threw ur way! and got a great job! go you!!!!!

That is wonderful! Too many give up too soon or once things start getting tough. Your persistence paid off.

You should feel so proud of yourself and such a sense of accomplishment! You set a goal, worked hard and you achieved it.

You have laid a path now for financial independence and now your options are wide open which is incredibly valuable!

Congrats!

When I was little, I always wanted to work with animals. Unfortunately, I couldn't cut it in Calculus, Algebra, Physics, or Chemistry to make it to vet school. So my parents said, rather than making a career of working with other peoples' animals, I should pick something different and have time and money for my own animals.

I am so glad I did. I now have a career where I make more than enough, and work largely from home. I can spend all day with my dogs, and afford all the classes I want to take with them. So much better than being poor and tired from working with other peoples' pets all day.
