I'm sorry you didn't get it, did you emphasise to them that you were a cash buyer and had no house to sell - that in itself is very valuable to a seller, the housing market is so depressed at the moment that to get a cash buyer who has no house to sell themselves is far preferable to someone offering a bit more but is caught up in trying to sell their own house or trying to get a mortgage which is really difficult nowadays.

If it doesn't work out your dream house will come about, you are in a really strong position to buy
