No one will.. and I wouldn't trust anyone to even if they would. He's not going to stay with anyone other than me and although my dad does mean well he hasn't the faintest idea about training dogs. I am working with Douglas on manners when walked and I can't even imagine the disaster that would happen if someone else took him out. My mother walks my lab (she took the dog and won't give her back) and allows her to pull on the lead among other issues and it's downright obnoxious. I spent ages teaching her not to do those things but it's undone now, so I'm terrified to let anyone near Douglas.

Maybe I can try to get at least one walk a week in if I take tramadol to knock out the pain.

Is your illness temporary or chronic?(if you don't mind me asking)

It is a chronic illness BUT I can usually function fairly normally. This week I have been in the hospital a couple of times and am just very sick. The pain is incredible.

Ok well that is good news in a sense that you will recover from this episode,
and will be able to walk Douglas more frequently, which will hopefully result
in no more poopies at home. You'll be in my thoughts, I can relate to chronic
pain and the mental and physical anguish it brings. I hope you feel better soon!
I really really do. Stay strong(especially up there). If you need to talk, I'm here.

Big hugs.
