Sometimes dogs get out for no reason...neutered or not. My spayed female would sneak off sometimes just because and we'd have to go look for her.

Wow! Ralph was a lucky boy that you came along and cared enough to do what you did. Love your saying you feel all "cream crackered" now! I have never heard that before, but I'm guessing it feels somewhat along the lines of being as limp as a wet noodle. lol
