Hiii Dee! Oh my, that is so scary! I feel so bad for what you and everyone else is going through, I simply cannot imagine it. I'm glad you're ok! And that you have puppy fever bc I have it too!!! And we are getting a 4th chi!! She's almost 3 weeks old so we still have a while and she is charting to be a tiny (2.5lbs, just over 1kg). Anyway I just thought we can go through our puppy fever together!!
Once the weather settles down, get us a photo!!

Oooh Zorana, how exciting Hahaha I can just picture you with x 4, bless.

I got an email from my breeder today, they were caught up in the floods as I suspected & have only just got their power back some 6 days later - they emailed to say they'll take pics tomorrow - I think the litter will be 3 weeks old so I won't be choosing one at this early stage - I need them at about 8-10 weeks when I can really feel that pull at the heartstrings by seeing the character in their little face. It's going to have to be a very, very strong pull, because I'm quite happy with my 4 & could easily stop there but I cannot ignore the small, quiet voice when it told me to see if they had anything available out of the blue like that.

The floods have just been awful ... this time only 6 lives lost as opposed to 35, and every single one because they chose to go out & about or drive thru flooded roads. A husband & wife, BOTH of whom were Doctors must've had cabin fever so went for a walk with their 2 kids and were standing on the bank of a fast flowing creek watching the water - out of no-where a large tree fell on the pregnant mother & 4yo son - the toddler died and she's still fighting for her life, damn it.

I have a relative in Aus who keeps me updated with the weather so tragic last I heard her roof was leaking.

Another puppy sounds exciting.

My father in law is in Australia on vacation right now for 3 weeks. We are hoping that he is okay. He turned his cell phone off when he got onto the plane to Australia and was not going to turn it back on until he arrived back in TX.

Amy Jo your dear father in law will be absolutely fine, rest assured of that. Even if he was in Brisbane (capital city) or Queensland (the State) he would've come to no harm. As I said the very few deaths that happened this time were all people who tried to drive in it, or a tree falling and we know the identity of all of them and there was no American involved. The rain that swept down the entire east coast i.e. from the northern most tip to the southern most would've put a real dampener on his time though as the rain/wind were too brutal to go out sightseeing. If he was in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth or Tasmania he would've been loving the warm, bright, sunny, dry weather.
