Default Full blizzard mode now

Well we are now in full blizzard mode! If not, it's close! We have about a foot so far. They say it's tracking just as predicted right now, which is 3 inches per hour! I dread to see what morning will look like!

One of my sons lost electricity about three hours ago. They have a generator. They pretty much need one! The live near the cape and they have a well! So without electricity - no water! Ugh! I can live without electricity, but not water!

I'm glad we live close to the city and we have town water, town sewer, and town electric! So far so good!

Our electric is on the city electric grid, so it underground. Thank God for that, we don't have to really worry about our electric going out in a storm. Water however, isn't necessarily something i can live with out..lol We bought heaters that we turn on to keep the pipes from freezing.

Snow totals haven't come in yet, but in our backyard we have a four foot fence and it's about half way up the fence. If I open my slider, I have to shovel to get out! It's crazy!

Poor Elaine, in Worcester, they say there is 26 inches so far! It isn't over yet!!
Of course, I have seen worse! One year my youngest took a trip south to visit his aunt and uncle. The morning he left it was snowing fairly light. Ny the end of the evening his car, a Saturn, was covered! That's a lot of snow!

We just got a temp update - 18 degrees.

Luckily, hubby will remove most of the snow with the snow thrower! So I won't have much shoveling to do!

Almost over - they say it should taper off around noon! I think this is the longest duration storm I have seen in about forever!

Hope you are staying safe and warm. My family is on Martha's Vineyard, MA, and I have been thinking of them and wondering how the storm was going. It's odd how in Sweden we always have tons of snow during the winter, but never any dangerous storms like the US gets every now and then. The US has some crazy weather!
