Went to Big Lots today just to look around and they had a large selection of dogswell canned foods for 50 cents each. Dogswell is very high quality canned food - usually runs $2.50 a can. The Big Lots we went to had a very good assortment of different types of this brand. No grains, wheat, or soy. Their Happy Hips canned has extra glucosamine/chondroitin.

Very good deal if you are looking for high quality canned food at a bargain price. I usually open a can, feed one or two meals out of it and then freeze the rest in ziplocks. It freezes fine and stays fresh that way.

Looks like good food and i would totally look it up if my dog didnt have food intolerance. I've never heard of this food. Is it only sold in your area?

I don't know what the red peppers are used for. Perhaps vitamin C. I would much prefer they didn't do any veggies at all, but I know some people like them.

Yeah some people like the added veggies but i would rather give the veggies myself once in a while then have it in the food.

They sell it at Petco and Petsmart, etc. It's a good brand, although I don't feed their jerky strips because the meat is sourced from China. I don't trust anything from China after all the pet food recalls.

I agree, I prefer not to do veggies, but some people like opening a can of dog food and seeing peas, carrots, chunks of potato in there.

Oh, on the can of lamb that I bought - it says all lamb is sourced from New Zealand. That's good.

Never seen this and i go into petco often but i guess its because i go in, get what i need and leave.

Opening a bag of dry dog food and seeing colored shapes in the form of veggies scares me and i steer clear lol but i guess in canned dog food its alright.

I just emailed her the peto link so she can order some if she chooses. Yep, i also stay away from pet products and foods from china, better safe than sorry.
