There is no real reason for posting this. I just felt like sharing Daisy's story, and why I feel so lucky to have my beautiful little girl.
When I first went to see Daisy, it was instant love. I had wanted a puppy for as long as I could remember, and I never thought the day would come. I couldn't take my eyes off of this unbelievable tiny and beautiful little creature which was falling asleep in my hands. So I only partially listened to what the breeder was saying, luckily I had my family there to listen to everything for me, so most of this story has been filled in to me by my mum.
Daisy's mum was a chi which usually had larger litters, I guess the breeders expected Daisy's mom to have many pups, usually about 5-6. This time, there were 7. Daisy and one of her brothers were born on 23rd March 2011.
Sadly, there were then complications. The rest of the babies got stuck in their mum's womb, so she needed to have an emergency cesarean to get them out. The 5 baby chi's all died.
I'm not sure if it was immediate, or after, but Daisy's mum's womb then started to fall out. She had to have an emergency spay. This meant that Daisy and her brother were the last pups she would ever have.
The breeder was going to keep my baby girl to breed from, but thank heavens she decided against it. My girl is so tiny and precious, I cannot imagine her going through anything like her mum did.
I am so thankful to have Daisy, we were made for each other. Luckily she is absolutely fine. I know her brothers and sisters are looking after her.
Thankyou for reading.
