hi and welcome!!! i havent gotten a chance to give u a proper welcome as i was without power for a week LOL~~ anywho here i am WELCOME! yay for new vets....i been thru i think....4 of them now and think i finally found the right one...~ cheapest and most honest one too! the ffirst shots for me...but 2nd shots as KC came with the 1st shots...oh how confusin LOL...well the bill was around $100 which was great! and every nail trim she gets is complimentary! my other vet used to charge $10 each time...was really bothersome as sometimes they didnt even ask to cut them and just charged me...ugh~~~ anywho love ur pup nappin! i hope u find the right vet for u <3

Is all right I just found out too you were without power can't imagine that, lol and thank you for the welcome in to the community everyone seems friendly,outgoing and nice hmmm just like some furry friends we know hahahah (chihuahuas) and yes it seems I found someone who can treat her and not overcharge for just about anything. Yep any honey will do, but that's more for sore throats and coughing. If she's sneezing or reverse sneezing there's no need for honey. I'd be wanting to know if it's just normal sneezing or reverse sneezing - I'm thinking it's winter over there so no pollens or other allergies floating in the air atm? I have 4 Chis, two of mine reverse sneeze roughly every day, some days not though, and the 2 normal sized ones never, so it just really depends on the dog.

Is there anywhere where you can walk her where other dogs haven't been, fields and such? It's just that until she's immunised for parvo (it's deadly), distemper etc. she really is at great risk if walking where other dogs have dropped/shed the virus.

I bought a puppy package from a low cost vaccine clinic that comes to our local Tractor Supply Company. For all Holly's shots, wormings including rabies for her first year was 135.00.

I only got my girls the DAP shot, and then rabies. Never more than 1 at a time. I got the girls a series of 3 puppy shots, 3 weeks apart. Then 1 booster, which I still need to do and they are 2.. whoops. Anyways, I plan on doing the booster soon, then nothing after that. Maybe titering them in 5 years or so.

Since you don't know if she's been wormed, it'd be a good idea to worm her, get her tested for Heartworm if she is over 5 months old, if not, you can just start her on Heartworm meds. If she has fleas, get her treated for fleas.

Here it's like $25ish for an exam fee, and about $15ish per shot. But they waive the exam fee if they've had an exam within the last 6 months there. So the first shot would be more at my vet, then the ones after would be less.

AussieLass I think it might be normal sneezing ? Because she just sneezes randomly with no problem like gasping for Air or other of the symptoms. And unfortunately no we live sort of in the city so when I walk her she is usually walked where other dogs have been. Would that mean cut her daily walks time or frequentation ? In the meantime while we wait for her first vet in nov 20th?
