Since you don't know if she's been wormed, it'd be a good idea to worm her, get her tested for Heartworm if she is over 5 months old, if not, you can just start her on Heartworm meds. If she has fleas, get her treated for fleas.

Here it's like $25ish for an exam fee, and about $15ish per shot. But they waive the exam fee if they've had an exam within the last 6 months there. So the first shot would be more at my vet, then the ones after would be less.

Yeah I'm thinking for getting her very basic needed shots like kennel cough , heartworm and distemper and getting her spay because I want that first since few dogs have barked like crazy! From our neighbors gate !

How bless that price is really nice, I'm taking her to a local spay society and that will charge something I can afford for now, Its because of her unknown history to me that going to a regular vet is expensive so we are going to go to spay local where she can get her basic shots and spay for low cost and some other time well go to a vet and not be charge sooo much! Like I mentioned I'm a college student and I already pay a big amount of money yearly plus books food and basic things. I'm not being cheap to my beloved princess,I hope all understand that

Vets are very expensive. Mine charges $45.00 just for an appointment. Any vaccines, meds, etc, are extra!

What you feed her is also important. Be sure to check out dogfoodadvisor.com. Although many here can give you very good suggestions. Ziwi Peak is a popular one. Remember, with a quality food, you generally feed less.

She's cute. I know you will enjoy her!

I think I am already attached lol I don't like no one hurting her (my lol brothers ) when they play with her or she's sleeping and they bother her but she's my joy and doing my very best with the help of all you. Yes,I heard about that brand when I came to the forum,ill check that out right now,princess likes canned food(I.e watery food especially chicken! That's her fave) she does not eat the kibbles kind or other bag food aka dry food unless I can't feed her nothing else and that's her only choice so she eats like 3 pieces of kibbles ! Princess puts up quite a fight about her food,she is a picky eater likes table food I'm guessing a that's what she was fed before but I'm trying to change that give her,her own food so she gets what she needs to be healthy.i sometimes give her a lil fried chicken with no bones or beef but limit that very much.princess is currently on some brand name "Cesar" she enjoys it but does not eat all :/
