I agree with socialising them, although we didn't take cooper to puppy school, but we did introduce him to many different people places and dogs. It was adorable watching him as a pup with our neighbours big dog (who we made sure had a very placid nature hehe). And yes your right Judy must have dropped Joey off just before we got him (which makes sence because he was a well socialised pup when we got him)

Judy would of dropped him there for pick up only - so he would of been with Judy up until then. Coco got dropped off at Marias 2 days before she boarded the plane as Maria took her to the airport.
Did you go to puppy school - both of mine went to puppy school (Coco just finished last week) and she was playing with lab pups 10 times her size LOL. I think its really important to keep up socialising them.

Yes your right it is both, a well bred but mistreated or un-socialised dog probably wouldn't grow up with a calm/nice temperament no matter how good his breeding was. Wow that's really good that Judy had them running around and socialising with the other dogs. She obviously cares about them. I wish Cooper could have had that. He is on the shy side because he was probably traumatised as a pup When we got Joey he was in a crate, (because Maria was selling him and not Judy) .

Alot is from breeding - but it comes down to how they are brought up as well. But I remember clearly going to Judys house when I picked up Maddy - and she was part of the family she was running around on the floor and not cramped up in a little crate. I think there was over 30 dogs there all playing and having fun. Very well socialised.

Awww that's really lovely. I must say Cooper does have a really great temperament a lot of people have commented on how well behaved/calm he is. (Although that could just be because a lot of people think Chis are bad tempered 'snappy' dogs.) And Joey too, I've never met a calmer Chi than him!

I dont think DNA testing is expensive either.

Yep I am sure they will be related in some way And Allamanda chis have the BEST temperments - I could not be happier with my girls. Madison follows me everywhere she is my shadow LOL. Yes she even sleeps on my bed

That's really interesting! They probably do share at least one grandparent then! I never thought of that Now I am really curious.
