Hi your Taz is a very beautiful Chi is he a Chocolate Merle my Taz is a Blue Chihuahua and my Charlie is a gorgeous Red sable Chihuahua. I think its so cool that our dogs have the same names I mean how many times do you see that 1 in a milliom maybe. Your Taz looks like a Tiny little guy is he? My Taz only weighs 3 lbs 2 oz so he is very tiny and my Charlie is about 3 lb 7 oz so he.s almost 3 1/2 lb both of them are very tiny. Your Charlie looks like he's a little bigger than your Taz but I bet Taz is the boss it always seems the smallest ones are the toughest ones. Ready to take on the world if they look at him the wrong way LOL My name is Pat BTW I put in a friendship request I hope we can get to know each other better and see what else we have in common beside both having 2 Chihuahua's for pets and that we both have Chihuahua's with the same names.
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I couldn't figure how to get back here, LOL! I am new to this forum, and still confused!
Yes, I guess I did figure it out. At least I have been posting pics, hope I remember how each time. I can't add a pic to my profile though...it keeps saying invalid file. Do you have to have a certain amount of posts before we are allowed to add a pic?
This is my second iPad. I have the first one, and just got the iPad 3! Love it. How are you liking yours?
No, apparently they're not related--Chiquita is 5 and was in the shelter for 3 years; Vana is only 1 1/2--I'm guessing she must have come in very young. They really DO look alike, don't they?! Funny thing, their fur is quite different to the touch--Chiquita's is silky-soft and Vana's is quite rough.
That is so cool that Taz and Minnie Mae are almost exactly the same size. Minnie is 6 months old today - I am guessing she probably won't grow very much more frame wise though I know she will gain more weight. (at least the vet clinic seemed to think that at 6 months they are fully grown in their frame/skeletal system). According to all the research I have done on her weight/size from birth up til now she will be tiny - 3 to 3-1/4 lbs max. I will love her either way but I am hoping she stays tiny. haha!
Seems like they get these fixed ideas about where they do and don't want to go. It would be funny if it weren't so annoying! The other day, after the 4-day crating fiasco, I took both doggies on a walk. Chiquita peed on the walk, came home, and hurried behind the recliner in the family room to poo. What, the grass isn't good enough?!
Thank you so much! It was definitely heart-wrenching to have to find homes for our babies. It was a relief, though, to know they all went to good homes. That did help some. We have a collage of all of our pets in our hallway and the kids are still talking about all of them. Pets are definitely wonderful, wonderful family members.
Oh, housebreaking--don't ask! I'd like both chi's to be comfortable going potty in our back yard as well as on a walk, because if I'm ever sick, I'm not going to feel like taking them out on 4 or 5 walks. But Chiquita refuses to go in the back yard--she'll hold it all day if she has to. So for 4 days, I had her in her crate much of the time, which I don't normally do and don't want to do. I would take her out back every two hours and nothing, except once a day. We were both miserable and she was frightened at the change in routine and at being shut away so much. It was so awful, I gave up after 4 days. I'm actually thinking of talking to an animal behaviorist--I found one who will consult for free if I'm referred by the rescue shelter where I got the dogs. So, it's been a struggle! So where are you at with yours? Are you using potty pads? Willow
Thanks! I did make it. I am enjoying making her sweaters, especially since they cost so much to buy and a good many of them are way too large for her. haha! Taz is a good name...our Eskimo Spitz was named Taz because his little growl reminded us of the Tazmanian Devil (Looney Tunes).
