Hello. I have a tiny 2 yrs old chi having some medical problems and hoping to find some advice here. Diagnosed with elongated Soft Palate and my vet suggests surgery. Saw a specialist today and he said die to unkown reasons for inflamation of her Salivary and "firmness", surgery is not recommended at this time and surgery may not cure the whole problem. He feels the enlarged salivery glands are playing a large role in her breathing issues. He suggest an Internal Medicine Specialist to try to get to the cause of the inflamed salivary glands. Has anyone encountered this before ? Any adive is greatly appreciated.
