Basically in a nutshell, I took Willy to visit my family on fathers day in attempt to help him get socialized. I was unaware that my cousin would be there with his kids (as he never is) and his 5 year old daughter ended up dropping Willy (after being told already NOT to pick him up, went through the rules and all that stuff) the broken leg had major swelling issues and ended up having the cast taken off too soon and the leg rebroke. Vet suggested a pin surgery, one that when all was said and done could cost us from 2500 to 4000 (high end and low end), which my husband and I could not afford as he's been out of work since June and we have 5 children. So amputation was our only option as that was only 1000$ (only and I say that with major sarcasm lol).
That sounds so cut and dry, but once you read the posts you'll hopefully be able to see it was not entered into lightly. It was a heart breaking experience from the start
I have not been able to get on as much as I'd like with the kids back at school and hubby back to work. But Willy is doing really really good. He is eatting really good now that he is off all his meds. He has adjusted awesome. *I* am having issues with letting him run free, but i am trying to work on them
